DESCRIPTION
Whether you carry concealed, shoot competitively, or have a passion for the 1911 platform, following a dedicated maintenance schedule is an important part of 1911 ownership.
Your instructor brings extensive Gunsmithing experience in the 1911 custom and specialty services industry and will highlight cleaning efficiency and how to detail-inspect your 1911, to ensure optimum performance.

- Basic Armorers’ Inspection – safeties and general operation
- Basic Field Maintenance – stripping, cleaning and reassembly
- Intermediate Slide Maintenance – disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly
- Spring Replacement – intervals and what to look for
- Magazines – maintenance and inventory
- Lubrication – oil vs. grease
- Function Check – feed, fire, extract, eject
- Live Fire – function confirmation and ‘zeroing’

Open to NWCSA Members and shooters interested in IDPA, Bullseye and other Competitive events. Participants should have basic operational knowledge of their specific firearm.

- Ammo – 50+ rounds KEEP IN VEHICLE (range instructions will be provided)
- Cleaning Materials (solvent, lubricant, patches, rod, etc.)
- Nitrile Glove (recommended)
- Snacks, fluids, appropriate clothing (optional)
