Archery Readiness Work Party

The Archery Committee needs your support to get ready for the 2023 season.

  • Build – Target Stands (4 more needed)
  • Build – Roof (8 total)

Ongoing Projects

Please contact Tracie if you have available time and would like to join a work party. If you have worked the 3D range before and want to work on your own, contact Tracie to clarify work to be done.

Notes:

  • Sign-in at the Clubhouse and Log your volunteer hours so Tracie can sign-off
  • Please photograph work (before/during/after) to document this important work.
  • Wear your membership lanyard
  • Wear Vi-Vis shirt, vest, hat
  • Carry adequate snacks, hydration, sunblock, bug spray

Location: Flagg Hill Field

  • Level firing line, take out divots in pockets for new range set up, build & maintain Scred line for 20 yd archery targets using 3/4 in stone
  • Move outhouse 10′ to the South, once moved, put down stone 6′ x 20′ level area, for conex box which will arrive in the Fall
  • Trim & maintain overhanging limbs & saplings on North & South edges of field
  • Move existing telephone poles to Northside of field to be used as bumper guards for parking
  • Dig & pour 5’x10′ Sonna tube’s for gate
  • Construct a 6′ x 6′ shooting platform w/rail for 3D Practice Range

Location: 3D Range

  • Spring clean up – tools; rakes, leaf blower, loppers/pruners can be found in shed at Flagg Field or shed by Clubhouse
  • All trails/walkways need to be cleared/cleaned up
  • Fallen/hanging trees need to be cut ANY & ALL CHAINSAW WORK IS TO BE DONE BY 2 OR MORE PEOPLE WORKING TOGETHER- NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Repair target stands # 7 & 21, inspect all existing box target stands, repair & measure front & back’s of stands, as we plan on making covers to prevent the bears from destroying box targets. If box target stand needs to be replaced please let Tracie know.
  • Check all signage/markers & make a note of what needs to be repaired or replaced, please send info to Tracie.
  • Repair 2 targets(wolf & ?), 1 broken leg on each. They are in metal shed by target # 9
  • Remove stairs @ targets # 24 & 27, re-route # 24
  • Repair shed by targets 14/15
  • Check bridges by targets #11 & 27 for damage, see if shingles are needed
