3D Archery Practice Range Flagg Hill FieldRange Improvements Planned

Colebrook, CT — The NWCSA Archery Committee received approval at the March Members Meeting, to tackle the clubs aging archery ranges. “The club is well-known for it’s 3 archery ranges, but they have suffered countless seasons of wear and tear”, said Committee Chair Tracie D.

The committee, comprised of member volunteers, was rejuvenated last year and the group immediately set out with plans to revitalize its archery ranges.practice range at Rte 44 and Flagg Hill Road (Flagg Hill Field).

Plans include the Practice Range (adjacent the Clubhouse off Rte 44) and 3D Ranges (off Flagg Hill Road):

  • Structure restoration and/or replacement
  • Equipment replacement – box targets and 3D targets
  • Additional events, clinics and training
  • Expansion of women and youth in the sport

“We are fortunate to have such a great team with lots of great ideas. Most importantly, we have the support of the club president to to meet the growing interest in archery”, said Tracie.

The committee announced that the archery ranges will remain open during reconstruction, but if closures are necessary, they will be posted to the Alerts page.
