NWCSA CMP High-Power Match course of fire & equipment requirements
Registration
Reservations are required for port assignment since we only have 20 ports per relay.

Course of Fire
Sighters allowed at beginning of event. All targets at 200 yds
- 10 shots slow-fire offhand (standing) in 10 minutes, SR target at 200 yds
- 10 shots sitting or kneeling timed-fire in 60 seconds, with magazine reload, SR target at 200
yds - 10 shots prone timed-fire in 70 seconds, with magazine reload, SR-42 target reduced from 300 yds
- 20 shots slow-fire prone in 20 minutes, SR-52 at 200 Yards simulated 600 yds
Rifle Types
Bolt-Action match rifle (with stripper clip slot for timed fire reloading, or removable box magazine) or Semi-automatic service rifle (M-1 Garand, M-1 Carbine, M-1A/M-14 or AR-15). Open sights, and up to 4.5X scopes allowed per NRA match rules.
Shooting Equipment
Slings, shooting mats, shooting coats, shooting gloves, kneeling rolls are allowed and recommended. Spotting scopes are required. Eye and ear protection is mandatory for anyone competing or inside the rifle range building.
Ammunition
- Minimum 50 rounds, plus sighters
- Factory or military ammunition is allowed (eg .223 Rem/ 5.56×45, .30 Carbine, .30–06 M-2 ball or M-72 / M-118 match or hand-loaded ammunition is acceptable, as are other centerfire calibers (.243/6mm, 6.5 mm, 7mm, 8mm, etc)
- No tracers or armor piercing ammo allowed!
