Introduction to Field Archery is a 2-day class that welcomes participants (8-14) to the fun, exciting world of organized archery.

This class is led by USA Archery certified instructors. Through a variety of games, students will develop fundamental techniques and range safety that can be applied to more advanced archery activities.

Safety: archery terms, range layout, and safety commands
Skills: hold and release techniques for accuracy and precision, equipment selection and maintenance

Registration

Date: Sat/Sun weekend classes; June 13/14, July 18/19, Aug 22/23, Sept 12/13
Time: 8:00am to 12:pm
Eligible Participants: ages 8-14**
Registration: limited to 8 students – first come, first served
Fee: $30/class (reduced for multiple students/family)

**Important: a parent or guardian must complete a Minor’s Waiver and Release of Liability Form and accompany their student during the class.

Materials

Supplied: related archery equipment – bring your own (optional)
Required: long-sleeve shirt and pants, closed-toe footwear with good support (avoid loose or sagging clothes around arms/waist/face)
Recommended: Snacks, hydration, weather appropriate gear

FAQ

Is Archery safe?
Yes, in fact, Archery develops strong problem solving skills, increased focus and self-confidence while avoiding the injuries often associated with many other youth sports.
Our instructors maintain USA Archery and/or National Archery in the School Program (NASP) Certification. Expectations and protocols are reviewed with students/parents at/during each session.
Safety is the #1 PRIORITY during NWCSA Archery Programs.

What if the student can not attend both days?
The class is formatted to build on previously taught skills, so it’s is best to attend both sessions. If you must miss a session due to a personal situation, we can not guarantee a spot in a future class.

Can I transfer my student’s spot to another person?
Yes, as long as you notify the Organizer prior to the class. Note: 1 student cannot attend Saturday and a different student attend on Sunday).

Can students register for multiple classes?
If a spot is available, we welcome prior students to advance their skills if a slot is available. Email the Organizer to to be placed on a wait list.
