This discipline hones fundamental skills and is ideal for novice and expert shooter alike. \nBasics \n\nTypically shot one-handed\, but not required\nTwo strings of 5 rounds (10 total) are are fired at each target\nThe X\, inside the 10 ring\, is the highest score possible (10 points)\nA perfect target (10 shots in the 10 ring) scores a maximum of 100 points\nMatches have 3 stages\, each with a distinct course of fire; Slow\, Timed and Rapid\n\nEquipment \n\nPistol: Revolver or Semi-Auto (min of 2 loaders/mags recommended)\nCaliber: .22 LR\nAmmunition: 30 rounds/match minimum\n\nRegistration \nThe Pistol Range is closed to Members at 4:00pm to allow for match setup and registration \n\nParticipants: all welcome\nExperience: all levels\nRegistration: not required (12 ports available – first come\, first served)\nEntry Fee: $5 payable on site\nStart Time: 5:30pm sharp\n\nCourse of Fire\nTargets for this Bullseye Match are set to 25 yards and shot in 3 stages: \nSlow Fire \n\n10 rounds in 10 minutes\nReload – At Will\nMaximun Score – 100 points\n\nTimed Fire \n\nTwo\, 20 second strings of 5 rounds each (10 rounds total)\nReload – On Command\nMaximun Score – 100 points\n\nRapid Fire \n\nTwo\, 10 second strings of 5 rounds each (10 rounds total)\nReload – On Command\nMaximun Score – 100 points\n\nTargets & Scoring \nSlow Fire: NRA B-16 25 yd\nTimed & Rapid Fire: NRA B-8 25 yd \nThe 3 target scores are totaled – maximum score is 300 points. \n\nTwo matches as described above\, are typically shot back-to-back on each date for a total of 60 rounds and a maximum score of 600 points.

DESCRIPTION:Description \nThe Junior Marksmanship & Safety Program introduces new shooters\, ages 10 through 17\, to basic marksmanship (KNOWLEDGE\, SKILLS\, and ATTITUDE) in a safe\, disciplined environment. \nDetails \nThis program is Free* with No previous experience necessary. \nCertified Training Instructors teach basic firearm safety\, range safety\, and marksmanship fundamentals using .22 caliber target rifles and related materials. \nParticipants will learn the fundamentals of shooting positions\, sight alignment\, trigger control\, breath control\, and proper cleaning & storage. \nImportant Notes \n\nOpen to the Public\nA Parent or Guardian must be present to sign the youth waiver form and help their child during the course\nParticipants may attend more than one date. DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Field Archery is a 2-day class that welcomes participants (8-14) to the fun\, exciting world of organized archery. \nDetails \nThis class is led by USA Archery certified instructors. Through a variety of games\, students will develop fundamental techniques and range safety that can be applied to more advanced archery activities. \nSafety: archery terms\, range layout\, and safety commands\nSkills: hold and release techniques for accuracy and precision\, equipment selection and maintenance \nRegistration \nDate: Sat/Sun weekend classes; June 13/14\, July 18/19\, Aug 22/23\, Sept 12/13\nTime: 8:00am to 12:pm\nEligible Participants: ages 8-14**\nRegistration: limited to 8 students – first come\, first served\nFee: $30/class (reduced for multiple students/family)\nContact: see Organizer \n**Important: a parent or guardian must complete a Minor’s Waiver and Release of Liability Form and accompany their student during the class. \nMaterials \nSupplied: related archery equipment – bring your own (optional)\nRequired: long-sleeve shirt and pants\, closed-toe footwear with good support (avoid loose or sagging clothes around arms/waist/face)\nRecommended: Snacks\, hydration\, weather appropriate gear \nFAQ \nIs Archery safe?\nYes\, in fact\, Archery develops strong problem solving skills\, increased focus and self-confidence while avoiding the injuries often associated with many other youth sports.\nOur instructors maintain USA Archery and/or National Archery in the School Program (NASP) Certification. Expectations and protocols are reviewed with students/parents at/during each session.\nSafety is the #1 PRIORITY during NWCSA Archery Programs. \nWhat if the student can not attend both days?\nThe class is formatted to build on previously taught skills\, so it’s is best to attend both sessions. If you must miss a session due to a personal situation\, we can not guarantee a spot in a future class. \nCan I transfer my student’s spot to another person?\nYes\, as long as you notify the Organizer prior to the class. Note: 1 student cannot attend Saturday and a different student attend on Sunday). \nCan students register for multiple classes?\nIf a spot is available\, we welcome prior students to advance their skills if a slot is available.
