DESCRIPTION:Description \nThe traditional 25M Rifle Marksmanship clinic is Project Appleseed’s most popular. Led by experienced instructors\, you will learn the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship. You will develop the skills needed to hit your targets consistently with precision and accuracy. Our lessons include topics of rock-solid positions\, sling use\, effective dry fire\, efficient sight adjustments\, and more! \nThis program teaches the rifle marksmanship skills that were once commonly practiced in America. Our instructors teach the skills that will one day allow a Rifleman to be accurate out to 500 yards. This distance is known as the traditional “Rifleman’s Quarter Mile” and has been part of America’s marksmanship repertoire since our country’s earliest days. \nDuring breaks\, you will hear true stories about the day the American Revolution began and changed the course of history. Learn about some of the real men and women that lived during those times and their unflinching bravery they showed fighting for the freedoms they held so dear. These stories will change the way you view marksmanship and liberty. \nWhether you’ve never fired a rifle or you’re an experienced competitive shooter\, no one comes to a Project Appleseed event and leaves the same. SUMMARY:NRA Range Safety Officer Course
DESCRIPTION:NWCSA encourages all members to learn more about supervising\nsafe shooting activities and range operations through this program. \nDescription \nThe NRA Range Safety Officer Course teaches the basic duties a Range Safety Officer performs. \nIt provides a thorough introduction to: \n\nThe role of the Range Safety Officer (RSO)\nRange Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)\nRange safety briefings\, inspections and rules\nEmergency procedures\nHow to clear firearms stoppages and correct malfunctions\n\nThe course also introduces various types of firearms actions\, including the unloading and clearing process. \nUpon successful completion\, passing the written (open book) test\, you will be a designated NWCSA RSO. DESCRIPTION:Description \nThe Junior Marksmanship & Safety Program introduces new shooters\, ages 10 through 17\, to basic marksmanship (KNOWLEDGE\, SKILLS\, and ATTITUDE) in a safe\, disciplined environment. \nDetails \nThis program is Free* with No previous experience necessary. \nCertified Training Instructors teach basic firearm safety\, range safety\, and marksmanship fundamentals using .22 caliber target rifles and related materials. \nParticipants will learn the fundamentals of shooting positions\, sight alignment\, trigger control\, breath control\, and proper cleaning & storage. \nImportant Notes \n\nOpen to the Public\nA Parent or Guardian must be present to sign the youth waiver form and help their child during the course\nParticipants may attend more than one date. DESCRIPTION:This Intro to IDPA class will be about 2 hours in length and take place at NWCSA in Colebrook. We will cover: \n\nSafety protocols\nMatch communications and registration\nBasics of gun handling while moving and reloading\nIDPA rules\nStage types and designs\n\nClass is about 50% instructional with Q&A held in the clubhouse. We will then move to the Action Pistol pits where we have some stages setup\, and we will do some live fire. DESCRIPTION:Open to all NWCSA Members and Family \nDescription \nThe NRA Range Safety Officer Course teaches the basic duties a Range Safety Officer performs. \nIt provides a thorough introduction to: \n\nThe role of the Range Safety Officer (RSO)\nRange Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)\nRange safety briefings\, inspections and rules\nEmergency procedures\nHow to clear firearms stoppages and correct malfunctions\n\nThe course also introduces various types of firearms actions\, including the unloading and clearing process. \nUpon successful completion\, passing the written (open book) test and payment of NRA fees\,\nyou will be certified as a NRA Range Safety Officer. \nNote: the skills acquired in this course require regular practice which should initially take place under the supervision of a qualified individual – such as an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO).
