Wood Duck Boxes

NWCSA member Mark Andersen and his son Ben recently spent the day a couple of weekends ago installing Wood duck boxes on the beaver pond on the BNE Energy land next door to our club’s property. Ben is a boy scout working on his merit badge for wildlife conservation. As you can see from the photos, they had a beautiful day to put them up. Hopefully they will be used by some wood ducks or mergansers this spring.

The red on the aerial picture represents the sites where they installed the new boxes. The yellow is a box that was already there. Mark and Ben plan to check that one in the spring when they can get to it by boat.
